Strong Interference and Spectrum Warfare

چکیده
We consider a wireless system with multiple userbase pairs randomly distributed in some region, in which users try to greedily optimize their performance without any exchange of information between bases, and for which a fixed point is reached. This is a Nash equilibrium point for the system and corresponds to a simultaneous water filling solution. In this paper we focus on systems with strong interference for which the simultaneous water filling solution implies not an unique fixed point but a set of fixed points, among which the information theoretic capacities of users vary widely. We propose a dynamic game to move the system from a possible suboptimal point to a better simultaneous water filling fixed point, eventually to the optimal point.

This paper studies interference alignment scheme and minimum mean square error (MMSE) improvement in Internet of Things (IoT)-oriented cognitive systems, where IoT devices share the licensed spectrum by cognitive radio in spectrum underlay. Target to manage the inter-tier interference caused by cognitive spectrum sharing as well as ensure an MMSE at receivers, the interference alignment algorit...

Cognitive Radio (CR) is defined as a radio that is aware of its surroundings and adapts intelligently. While CR technology is mainly cited as the enabler for solving the spectrum scarcity problems by the means of Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA), perspectives and potential applications of the CR technology far surpass the DSA alone. For example, cognitive capabilities and on-the-fly reconfiguratio...
متن کاملAdaptive Signal Detection in Auto-Regressive Interference with Gaussian Spectrum
A detector for the case of a radar target with known Doppler and unknown complex amplitude in complex Gaussian noise with unknown parameters has been derived. The detector assumes that the noise is an Auto-Regressive (AR) process with Gaussian autocorrelation function which is a suitable model for ground clutter in most scenarios involving airborne radars. The detector estimates the unknown...

The number of topside shipboard antennas doubled every decade; in 1990s they were close to 200 and have no sight of stop growing (Tavik, 2005). The over-crowded present of such many topside antennas in a limited-space of littoral warfare ship has created/caused many critical, unavoidable problem like antenna blockage, electromagnetic interference, increase RCS, worsen the effective stealthy sig...

Modern land commanders are increasingly dependent on information-age systems comprising communications and information systems, networks and sensors. While these systems have the potential to produce significant changes in the conduct and character of war, their reliance on the electromagnetic spectrum also has the potential to increase their vulnerability to interdiction by electronic-warfare ...
